Walking Up & Down The Hill As Exercise

Hubby has gone walking up and down the hill for exercise. As for me, I am too lazy to go with him. :-)

Maybe I will join him after I complete all my assignments. When? Er, I think I can finish them by tomorrow night.

Do Exercise On Elliptical To Slim Down

It is very obvious that I have put up so much weight. Hubby has given out warning that I should start doing exercise again, especially after we move to Lenggong next month.

I am supposed to have more time at the new place, so no more excuses. Well, time to do workout on my elliptical which has been stored in the store room for some time.

I used the elliptical very often when my weight hit 60 kg more than 2 years ago. After I slimmed down to 50 kg, I gave myself a very good excuse not to do exercise. See, I have almost gone back to 60 kg now.

Use Walking To Lose Weight

To use walking to help you lose weight, the key is variety, especially if walking is the only cardio you do. Don’t just go at the same pace for the same length of time every day, but try to mix things up and find ways to add intensity to some of your workouts.

Add Some Hill Training. Powering up a hill is a great way to increase your heart rate and challenge your body in different ways. Try finding a medium-sized hill nearby and walking up as fast as you can. Recover by walking back down and repeat several times.

Use Your Arms. Holding weights while you walk is a no-no, but you can increase intensity by pumping your arms or using walking poles to involve your upper body.

Go Faster. I notice when I walk outside, I have a tendency to slow down without realizing it. One way to make sure you’re in your target heart rate zone is to monitor your pace and make sure you’re walking briskly. Pretend as though you’re trying to catch a bus and you have to walk as fast as you can to make it.

Vary Your Workouts. Whether your walking or doing other activities, varying your workouts is a great way to avoid plateaus and continue to challenge your body. Try to mix things up with longer, slower workouts and shorter, harder workouts.

Clean Dust From Home Theater Lighting, Lighting, Porch, Bedrooms

I am so excited to move back to Ipoh soon. In fact, hubby and I have started cleaning our house, especially the porch, bedrooms, lighting and home theater lighting which have been accumulated with dust.

One way to repel dust is with some kind of electrical charge, but house dust can be removed by as many as 10 methods, such as: wiping, swiping, or sweeping by hand, or with a dust cloth, sponge, duster, or broom, or by suction by a vacuum cleaner or air filter.

Fortunately, it’s year end school holiday. Otherwise, I don’t have time to do the cleaning. I am too busy writing my health reviews. I don’t even have time to do exercise these days. Gosh ! Look at my tummy …;P
