I forgot to tell you that I had Thai massage treatments on my previous blog post. Many people including me find that Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than more classic forms of massage.
Thai massage is also called Thai yoga massage, because the therapist uses his or her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches. Many people say Thai massage is like doing yoga without any work. Muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure are also used during treatment.
A typical Thai massage is 60 minutes to two hours long.
Many people find that Thai massage has the following benefits:
1. relaxes
2. reduces stress
3. improves circulation
4. increases energy
5. increases flexibility
6. improves range of motion
7. centers the mind and body
My hubby and I had our reflexology treatments in Ipoh yesterday. It was 60-minute session which cost only $35. Foot reflexology, plus head, neck and shoulder.
The Thai masseur is really strong and good at massage. I felt so relaxed that I drifted into sleep very soon. I love foot reflexology treatments as the toxins in my body can be flushed out from my body.
Next week, my hubby and I will try full body massage. By then, I am going to snap some photos to be placed on my money making niche blogs.
While reading my travel magazine just now, I came across a featured article introducing some Las Vegas Hotels and Las Vegas Shows at best prices. I was so enthralled by the luxury hotel room that I told my hubby we must have a vacation to Las Vegas in future.
My hubby had a glance at the photo and said jokingly,”I think you are attracted by the television more than the beauty of Las Vegas.” Ooopss! My hubby knows me well !
True enough! I love staying in the hotel room watching televising more than going for a tour. Whenever we go back to Kuala Lumpur, I love to stay in the hotel room watching movie after movie while my hubby loves going shopping.
“Studies show that those who skip breakfast don’t perform as well, and eat more during the day.”
That’s why I make sure that I eat breakfast daily. If I keep my body in starve mode, it’ ll go only into saving mode, meaning it will store more energy – and fat ! Even if I haven’t got the time for a decent sit-down breakfast, there’s a range of healthy choices to help me get my day started. I can munch on a cereal bar and down it with a glass of Sunkist orange juice.
Orange juice is an excellent source of Vitamins A, C, and E, potassium, folate, calcium, iron and thiamin. A cloudy looking juice with pulp is a good sign that it’s made 100% from oranges.
Cerebral palsy refers to a group of disorders that involve loss of movement or loss of other nerve function.
Cerebral palsy is caused by injuries to the cerebrum (the largest part of the brain), which occur as the baby grows in the womb or near the time of birth.
Premature infants have a slightly higher rate of cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy may also occur during early infancy as a result of illnesses such as encephalitis, meningitis, herpes simplex infections, and so on, head injury that results in subdural hematoma, blood vessel injuries, and many others conditions.Injury to the cerebrum can result in the loss of nerve functions in widely different areas. The classical finding of CP is increased muscle tone — spasticity. Spasticity may affect:
* One arm or leg
* One side of the body (spastic hemiplegia)
* Both legs (spastic diplegia)
* Both arms and legs (spastic quadriplegia)
In addition, the child may have a partial or full loss of movement (paralysis), problems hearing and vision, and sensation abnormalities. Speech problems are common. Seizures may occur.
There is no specific cure for cerebral palsy. The goal of treatment is to maximize independence. Treatment is guided by the symptoms exhibited and may include cerebral palsy therapy, braces, appropriate glasses and hearing aids, medications, special education or appropriate schooling, and, in severe cases, institutionalization.
